What am I reporting on my account:
My life with my four Noriker geldings. Presentation of the Noriker breed. Flexible, varied and individual training of young horses and horses. Presentation of traditional Bavarian horse rides. Never give up, even after serious accidents.
How did I come to horses / what is my "equine" career:
Self-bred foals, eBay and a very good friend who is a breeder/dealer. Latecomer to equestrian sports. My family is very competitive sports-oriented (climbing, mountaineering, cycling, skiing/ski touring). With my first earnings at the age of 17, I bought a Noriker mare with a foal at foot. The mare was already pregnant again. So I had to learn how to train young horses and breed under supervision. I was already taken with the tiger pinto colour back then. So I really wanted a tiger. Moritz moved in with me at the age of 4. He was followed by Cinco (red roan), who was rescued from the slaughterhouse. Unfortunately, he died unexpectedly in 2024 from a ruptured intestine at the age of 7. In between, Lausi came to me at the age of 4, Strizi at the age of 1 and Calimero in 2024 at the age of 2. I work with my horses a lot based on feeling. I have attended many different courses and trainers and chosen the right training for my horses. I try out a lot of things and see what my horses like. There is no one right way to train a horse.
My absolute favorite horse:
In appearance, it is Calimero. In character, it is Strizi and Lausi.
My most beautiful experience in connection with the horses:
There are so many. Trail riding with Lausi, Oktoberfest parade. Casting off on command for the first time. First ride on Strizi. Bathing with horses, etc.
What is important to me in dealing, keeping and training with the horse:
Consistent and fair treatment of horses. They don't speak our language. We have a picture in our minds of what we want to do with them. It is our job to explain it to them in a way that they understand. I believe that social contact and plenty of space are incredibly important when it comes to keeping horses. It's not just about riding them and doing things with them, but also observing them, getting to know your horse and its character. We only spend a few hours a day at the stable. Our horse spends its whole life there.
